What is TravelChair chair massage?

TravelChair’s chair massage is a 10 to 30 minute massage applied to the muscles of the shoulders, head, arms, neck, back and hands. The massage recipient sits fully clothed in an ergonomically engineered professional massage chair. The practitioner then uses a skillful combination of massage techniques without the use of oil to give the client long lasting benefits that they will not forget.

How many massage therapists will I need for my scheduled event?

An excellent way is to determine expected traffic, available budget and available space . Please contact us and we’ll help you determine the best strategy.

Should we tip or give gratuities?

Tips are not expected or necessary, but they are an excellent way to let the massage therapists know they’ve done an excellent job. It is completely up to you if you choose to tip.

If I’m pregnant can I still have a chair massage?

Chair massage can be very beneficial for women during pregnancy. Please let the massage therapist know you are pregnant  so they can take the proper steps for your well being and comfort. This is especially important if you are in the first trimester, when it may not be known to the massage therapist that you are pregnant.

What about cleanliness?

Before and after each chair massage session TravelChair massage therapists sanitize their hands, massage chair, while disinfecting the face-rest and then applying a clean face rest cover for the next recipient.

Are there contraindications for chair massage?

Some contraindications include but are not limited to: uncontrolled hypertension, uncontrolled diabetes, fractures, herniated discs, malignancy, numbness or tingling in some of the limbs, especially the hands and feet. Please notify your massage therapist of any acute or ongoing health conditions before the chair massage session begins.

How far in advance should we schedule with TravelChair?

No matter the location and size of the event we appreciate a minimum of one week’s notice.

Do you offer chair massage services to empoyees that work third shift?

Yes. Offering chair massage to employees that work third shift is a great way to show they are not forgotten. As a result everyone in the workplace feels appreciated.

How long are the chair massage sessions?

It is entirely up to you how long you want the chair massage sessions to be. TravelChair offers anywhere from 10 minute to 30 minute massages. The average chair massage session is 15 minutes. Once the chair massage session length has been determined TravelChair will send out the sign-up sheet for you to post.
